Community Training Blok

This is the runBMT Community Training Blok.
The Deets:
Spring - Summer - Fall
We’ll connect twice a week for 12 weeks starting April 9th and ending, together, on the 4th of July. The goal is to curate a more powerful training BloK through group focused training. One our runBMT coaches will be at each session to ensure quality, answer questions, and to facilitate the work!
Each week we are dividing our time together in what we’re calling a “quality session” and a “long run.” In order to compliment any current training programs or to better serve as a foundation to build your running career, we have typically focused our Blok around 5k or 10k fitness.
We’ve made it a sort of tradition to polish off the Blok experience with a local race! While we understand that racing isn’t for everyone, it does serve as a great environment to measure progress together. Think of it as taking inventory! What worked well? Where have I grown? Etc.
Quality Sessions: Last roughly 45-60 minutes and will cover a multitude of training platforms. This could look like structured group speed work or It might be a functional session like foam rolling and/or yoga. But it will always be built in order to groom your roots in running.
Long Runs: Every program has a long run. So does ours. We’ll meet weekly to run together, share horror stories, support one another, and start building our endurance. We’ll offer a rotating LR meet up spot depending on registrants. We want to ensure safety, quality, and accessibility for all peoples and paces. *
* Our training is open to people of all paces. On our team we see athletes capable of 5:00 min miles and 15:00 min miles. Show up, we’ll make sure you’re dialed in appropriately.
